Principal Mrs. Esther Tyson (Left) accepts cheque from members of the Ardenne Class of 1983, (L-R) Wayne Morris, Dave Taffe, Patricia Fagan, Janet Glaze-Neale and Donovan Forbes. The presentation took place during morning devotion. The Class of 1983 had their 25th annual reunion weekend celebration this summer and raised $590,000 for the Winston Roberts Science Centre, a state-of-the-art science building now under construction at Ardenne. The building is named The Winston Roberts Science Centre, in recognition of the late Mr. Roberts who taught Biology and Zoology to many generations at Ardenne and served as Vice-Principal. Mr. Roberts skills as a teacher, great communicator and his dedication to science education, were second to none. The Class of ‘83 comprises members from Jamaica, Canada, USA and UK.
To paraphrase from Luke 12:48, we must remember, To Whom Much is Given, Much is Expected. These are the guiding words of the Ardenne Class of 1983 who received a first class education from Ardenne, and inspired us to come together as a group so we could 'give back' to our alma mater, who has given us so much. The Class of '83 is still actively raising funds, with hopes that this building is completed before Principal Tyson's projected 2010 deadline, and will present another check to Ardenne next year. We are encouraging everybody to contribute by visiting any National Commercial Bank (NCB) branch and make your donation to the Winston Roberts Foundation, NCB Account number 304-485-809.
We would also like to acknowledge NCB who has been and will match funds raised by Ardenne up to $15 million until the end of 2009.

I was a part of a huge group of people who went to Knology Park in Dunedin, Florida to see Barack Obama and hear him speak. I was honored to be close enough to take these wonderful pictures and to shake the hand of our next president of the united states.
Vote Barack because he is by far the best and most qualified candidate we've had for decades. Remember: if you don't REGISTER - you can't VOTE November, and will have no say for the next 4 years of your life:

From Wikipedia.com: A little info on the city of Dunedin:
Dunedin is a city in Pinellas County, Florida. The name comes from the Scots Gaelic Dùn Èideann meaning Edinburgh. Dunedin is located in the Tampa Bay area — west of Tampa, north of Clearwater and St. Petersburg, and right on Florida's beautiful Gulf coast. Scottish families originally settled the City of Dunedin in 1899
